I’m Aislin, the owner of this store. I’m a polymer clay artist and graphic designer making things I want to see in the world.
I grew up struggling with poverty which has a way of affecting every little thing in your life. I worked through high school and pursued graphic design in college. When I was in college during covid stuck inside it felt like I was chained to my desk. I was doing school work 24/7 and I could barely even see outside from a window. My mental health was at the lowest point it’s ever been. Having something cute to look down at every once in a while on my desk made a surprising difference in how I felt. Usually it was only a short burst of happiness, a tiny smile, but that can be so important to help keep you going when you’re in a dark place.
After graduating I struggled to get work and couldn’t find motivation to create. Until I was inspired by other clay artists and remembered the joy I felt making mini figurines with polymer clay years ago. I finally had the drive to create again and for the first time in a while I believed in myself.
My goal is to give people just a tiny bit of happiness even if it’s just for a minute to help keep them going because I know what it’s like to feel stuck in life. I wish people didn’t have to struggle but we do so I want to make the struggle a little more bearable. Which is why I say, I hope this finds you well.
